Grade 12 Exam Results

School districts have been notified by the Ministry of Education that there was an anomaly in the tabulation of the Grade 12 June exam results and a team of ministry staff are actively working to identify and resolve the issue. The Ministry is reviewing each June 2019 exam result to ensure student grades are accurately reflected on their transcripts. Ministry staff have also contacted B.C. post-secondary institutions to inform them of the issue and help ensure no student applications are impacted. They are also actively contacting Canadian post-secondary institutions and will work with outside post-secondary institutions as needed.

The Ministry of Education says the issue with student exam transcripts is now resolved, and updated student transcripts will be posted later on Wednesday.

Mental Health Week – May 6-12

Mental health is a state of well-being, and we all have it. We might have a mental illness, and we might not. Either way, we can all feel well. We can all have good mental health. It is about having a sense of purpose, strong relationships, feeling connected to our communities, knowing who we are, coping with stress and enjoying life. And it’s never too early or too late to get there. But it’s not just about what you do for yourself, by yourself—everyone needs healthy and supportive places to work, live and learn.

Host Families Wanted in Saanich School District

Saanich School District has been successfully welcoming International students for almost 20 years.

Our success has led to increased enrollment in our program. As such, we are hoping to entice more warm and caring families to host our next group of students.

Host families not only receive reimbursement of $925 per month but also enjoy the unique opportunity to learn about other cultures while sharing Canada with their students.
