The District is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for students in grades 11 and 12. This is a district program housed at Parkland Secondary School and is open to all SD 63 students entering grade 11. Out of District students will be considered as space permits. Completion of the IB Diploma program will gain students first year credit at university for a number of their IB courses. Come find out more about this academically engaging program. The Saanich School District is about to launch a new parent/guardian communication tool called Sangha. We are implementing Sangha because of its ability to more efficiently and effectively communicate with parents/guardians, especially for critical announcements such as weather closures or school lockdowns.
The Saanich School District is doing its part in helping to reduce demand for natural gas this winter.
The two Enbridge natural gas pipelines in BC are not operating at full capacity resulting in an anticipated reduction in the amount of gas available throughout the province. The Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, the Honourable Michelle Mungall, has asked all school districts to assist in helping by conserving natural gas during this time of constrained supply.
