School districts have been notified by the Ministry of Education that there was an anomaly in the tabulation of the Grade 12 June exam results and a team of ministry staff are actively working to identify and resolve the issue. The Ministry is reviewing each June 2019 exam result to ensure student grades are accurately reflected on their transcripts. Ministry staff have also contacted B.C. post-secondary institutions to inform them of the issue and help ensure no student applications are impacted. They are also actively contacting Canadian post-secondary institutions and will work with outside post-secondary institutions as needed.
The Ministry of Education says the issue with student exam transcripts is now resolved, and updated student transcripts will be posted later on Wednesday.
Students are advised to wait until the final exam results are re-posted in the Student Transcript Service website before deciding if they need to rewrite the August Provincial Exam on August 8, 2019.
